SV	En hij sprak tot hen naar den raad der jongelingen, zeggende: Mijn vader heeft uw juk zwaar gemaakt, maar ik zal boven uw juk nog daartoe doen; mijn vader heeft u met geselen gekastijd, maar ik zal u met schorpioenen kastijden.
WLC	וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם כַּעֲצַ֤ת הַיְלָדִים֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר אָבִי֙ הִכְבִּ֣יד אֶֽת־עֻלְּכֶ֔ם וַאֲנִ֖י אֹסִ֣יף עַֽל־עֻלְּכֶ֑ם אָבִ֗י יִסַּ֤ר אֶתְכֶם֙ בַּשֹּׁוטִ֔ים וַאֲנִ֕י אֲיַסֵּ֥ר אֶתְכֶ֖ם בָּעַקְרַבִּֽים׃
Trans.	wayəḏabēr ’ălêhem k^a‘ăṣaṯ hayəlāḏîm lē’mōr ’āḇî hiḵəbîḏ ’eṯ-‘ulləḵem wa’ănî ’ōsîf ‘al-‘ulləḵem ’āḇî yissar ’eṯəḵem baššwōṭîm wa’ănî ’ăyassēr ’eṯəḵem bā‘aqərabîm:

AC	יד וידבר אליהם כעצת הילדים לאמר אבי הכביד את עלכם ואני אסיף על עלכם אבי יסר אתכם בשוטים ואני איסר אתכם בעקרבים
ASV	and spake to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
BE	But giving them the answer put forward by the young men, saying, My father made your yoke hard, but I will make it harder; my father gave you punishment with whips, but I will give it with snakes.
Darby	and he spoke to them according to the advice of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
ELB05	und er redete zu ihnen nach dem Rate der Jungen und sprach: Mein Vater hat euer Joch schwer gemacht, ich aber will zu eurem Joche hinzutun; mein Vater hat euch mit Geißeln gezüchtigt, ich aber will euch mit Skorpionen züchtigen.
LSG	et il leur parla ainsi d'après le conseil des jeunes gens: Mon père a rendu votre joug pesant, et moi je vous le rendrai plus pesant; mon père vous a châtiés avec des fouets, et moi je vous châtierai avec des scorpions.
Sch	und redete mit ihnen nach dem Rat der Jungen und sprach: Mein Vater hat euch mit Geißeln gezüchtigt, ich aber will euch mit Skorpionen züchtigen!
